See overdue, upcoming, and current events. Using the +/- on the right you can choose which sections you want to see and Heap is smart enough to remember these settings when you come back.
With the calendar drop-down you can select to only see your events, events on a particular calendar or events connected to one of your prospects.
The 14 day calendar allows you make appointments, setup tasks and setup automated actions all from the convenience of your dashboard. This can really help your productivity if you are trying to quickly get a lot of things done.
With the dashboard you can see your prospects that are going to need attention (upcoming prospect activity) or prospects that have just had a bunch of things happen to them (recent prospect activity). Just like the calendar based sections on the dashboard, these areas can be expanded or collapsed using the +/- on the right.
Messages can be your basic note, an e-mail, a voice mail and much more. This message is an e-mail where there are a couple of events attached to it. You can check-off the events here (or anywhere you see the message). Or you can click on an event to see it on the calendar.
Messages, like events, can be associated to a prospect. Clicking on the prospect's name will take you to the prospect's detail page.
Comments can be made on a message. Comments, like messages, can have attached files (which you can download at any time). If the file is something Google Docs understands you have the option to open the file there instead.
You can drag any event from the main calendar to one of the four small calendars to move it from month to month. Or if you wish to copy, just hold down the shift key.
The large calendar can show you all of your events or the events of any calendar listed on the right. You might also notice indicators next to some events. These can show if the event is associated to a prospect, sends out an e-mail, or is connected to a message.
On any person you can use drawers to show recent e-mail conversations, recent twitter/buzz/blog activity or other people in the same company.
Heap can automatically detects mentions of twitter, buzz, skype, phone numbers, addresses, shipping tracking numbers and much more.
Custom values allow you to store any data that Heap would otherwise not have a place for. You can use these when merging into E-Mail or Google Docs.
You can see all of your prospects under any particular person. You can also see on what prospects this person has been selected as a related person. This is really important for suppliers and partners.
The prospect page lists the person's contact data (which is the parent container of the prospect) and allows you to edit it directly from this page. You can also see data specific to the transaction.
You can connect any person to any prospect. This allows you to see all of the people involved in the transaction from a single page.
Messages and calendar events that are associated to this prospect are listed on this page. But, just like the dashboard, these sections can be collapsed (look at the +/- on the right). Heap is smart enough to remember which of these sections are open, so they will be the same when you come back the next day.
E-Mail templates allow you to setup pre-defined messages to be used throughout the transaction. You can send these manually or you can have them sent out on a specific date using an event.
You can use variables in your E-Mail templates. These variables can reference the person, the transaction, or you (the user). You can use these same variables when doing a mail merging to a Google Doc. You can even execute E-Mail commands from an E-Mail template!
Event templates allows you to setup a series of tasks that you can apply to prospects. You can even setup a task that sends out an E-Mail template or run a series of commands at the specified date and time.
In addition to the built-in automation tools, you can build your own with HeapCL (Heap Command Line). HeapCL allows you to interact with your CRM data directly from the terminal. It works on Windows, Mac and Linux:
Heap's search can find anything! In addition to the full text search, you can use one or more of our many bucket selectors.
You can save your search results to a category. This allows you to quickly select people for a mailing, reporting or other task.
Save the search itself and you can use it in reports. This allows you to drill into any area of your business even if the standard reports don't cover it.
Access your most critical Heap data from anywhere, even if you don't have an Internet connection. Works on many devices, including the Palm Pre, Android, BlackBerry, iPad and iPhone.
